Meet the Owner - Erika

I have been decorating since I was 10 years old. I always had the urge to move furniture, squish paint and create with fabric. I have a measuring tape and level in my brain – weird, but I understand it now. While I was a single parent and drowning in the 9-5 office jobs I found the courage to start my own Decorating Den business on my 40th birthday. Now, 15 years later, I take my passion for decorating into YOUR home. Many of my clients turn into friends as decorating someone’s home is such a PERSONAL thing. I am lucky that this career feels more like play than a job…I wish everyone could feel so fortunate.

As an interior designer, a major part of my job is to make the process stress-free for you. Whether you’re a busy professional or a retiree, you wouldn’t want to spend endless hours working on your home to make it comfortable, and I’ll make sure that you don’t have to. Leave all the planning, ordering and execution to me so that the creation of a beautiful space doesn’t interfere with your life or the time you spend doing what you love.

Bringing cost saving options to the table and having an “outside the box” approach, my clients find that working with me will give them a space that is a true reflection of THEMSELVES… not a carbon copy of their neighbors’ homes… or mine. There are so many ideas floating around my mind it’s nearly impossible to have a cookie cutter design style…it’s all about YOU!

My customers establish their budget and I educate them on product quality, construction and design. I can work with people who just want decorating ideas, help with one window or furnish an entire home. No project is too big or too small. We can also work on a strictly consultative basis if that’s all that you need.  I’m here to make decorating easy and enjoyable for you.

Working with me you will find I am non-judgmental, unpretentious, creative, professional, budget conscious, fun, personable and real. Just ask your friends who have worked with me.

I cover the entire Greater Cincinnati area, and also have availability in the Greater Dayton and Greater Columbus areas. Further out than that? We can easily do a virtual consultation. I don’t let the East/West or Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana lines scare me. I come to YOU and turn your house into your home! I’m right around the corner.
